Parking

There is free street parking around the apartment, but please read the signs carefully. Some streets are free outside weekly street cleaning hours, while others allow free unlimited non-resident parking after 8 PM and on weekends, plus 2-hour free parking during regular hours.

If you prefer a lot, there is a parking lot at 10 Maverick Square about an 8 minute walk from the apartment. A few other lots are farther away, and SpotHero can be useful for pre-booking.

Guests park at their own risk. Always follow posted street signs, especially for street cleaning.

House Rules

Train, Ferry & Water Taxi

East Boston is easy to use as a car-light home base. The Blue Line is the fastest everyday option; ferries and water taxis are the scenic way across the harbor.

T

Public Transportation

The closest train station is Maverick Station, about a 9 minute walk, or 0.5 miles, from the apartment. You can buy or reload a CharlieCard at the fare vending machine.

Take the Blue Line toward Bowdoin to head downtown. The first stop is Aquarium, the second is State Street, and the third is Government Center, where you can walk to much of downtown or transfer to the Green Line for Back Bay, Fenway, and other areas.

Tall Ship Boston and Boston Harbor

East Boston Ferry

The most practical harbor ride from the apartment: MBTA East Boston Ferry service connects Lewis Mall Wharf near The Tall Ship with Long Wharf downtown. Lewis Mall Wharf is about a 13 minute walk from the apartment.

Guest tip: check the current MBTA schedule before heading out.

Boston Launch Company Shuttle

A scenic seasonal shuttle connects harbor restaurants including ReelHouse East Boston, The Tall Ship, Pier 6 Charlestown, and Fan Pier in the Seaport. Tickets are typically handled through Token Transit.

Good for a waterfront restaurant hop when weather cooperates.

MBTA Harbor Loop & Seaport Ferries

Boston Harbor has several commuter and seasonal ferry routes, including Harbor Loop, East Boston-Seaport, North Station-Seaport, and other harbor connections. These can be useful for getting to the Seaport, Aquarium, or Logan-area waterfront without relying only on the train.

Encore Free Water Shuttle

Encore Boston Harbor operates a free water shuttle from Long Wharf North to Encore. It is not the primary route from the apartment, but it can be a fun harbor ride if Encore is on your plans.
